Galician Wine & Spices is a direct importer based in the Netherlands, specialising exclusively in the wines and gastronomy of Galicia. We work with family-owned bodegas and producers in Rías Baixas, Ribeiro, and Ribeira Sacra, building the kind of relationships that take time and personal commitment to earn.
Our founders travel to Galicia several times a year. They visit estates in person, taste in the cellar alongside the winemakers, and make every selection by hand, at source. There are no intermediaries in our supply chain and no compromises in our portfolio. What arrives in the Netherlands is exactly what we chose.
We distribute to the Dutch horeca and retail market, and operate our own specialist consumer channel at albarinoshop.com. Our focus is Albariño and the broader canon of Atlantic wine: precise, mineral, and defined by the granite soils and ocean air of the Galician coast.
We visit our producers personally, every year. No brokers, no catalogues, no virtual tastings. Selection happens at the estate: in the cellar, at the table, with the family who made the wine. This is how we know what we are talking about, and why our partners trust what we say.
Our portfolio is deliberately small. We carry fewer producers than most importers because meaningful representation requires genuine attention. Each bodega in our range has a story worth telling. We make it our business to tell it well, in every channel we operate.
We are established in the Dutch market through our own specialist channels and direct B2B relationships with horeca and independent retail. For our producers, this means their wines reach an informed audience, not a warehouse shelf and a hope.
