Producers

A portfolio
chosen by hand

Each producer in our range was selected in person, on the estate, after tasting with the winemaker. No agent's shortlist. No catalogue selection.

Our producers.

Our portfolio is built around a single conviction: that Galicia produces wines of extraordinary individual character, and that a small number of exceptional producers, deeply understood and genuinely advocated for, is worth far more than a broad catalogue of the merely acceptable. Every name below represents a relationship and a commitment.

Rías Baixas  ·  Val do Salnés

Gómez y Rial

Family estate, three expressions of Albariño

An estate rooted in the heart of Val do Salnés, Galicia's most celebrated Albariño subzone. Gómez y Rial works exclusively with Albariño and presents the variety in three distinct expressions: from an approachable, fruit-forward entry wine to a barrel-fermented single-vineyard bottling of notable complexity. A producer whose restraint in the cellar allows the terroir to speak clearly.

Rías Baixas  ·  Condado do Tea

Señorío de Sobral

Exclusive Dutch import

Located in Condado do Tea, the southernmost subzone of Rías Baixas, Señorío de Sobral produces Albariño of a distinctly different register: richer, broader, with a warmth and weight that reflects the inland climate of the Miño valley. GWS is the exclusive importer for the Dutch market, a partnership built on a shared belief in the particular character this subzone deserves wider recognition for.

Ribeiro

Bodegas Cunqueiro

Historic family winery, indigenous varieties

A winery with genuine standing in the Ribeiro appellation, Bodegas Cunqueiro brings a clear sense of place to a DO that rewards patient exploration. Their wines are made from indigenous Galician varieties (Treixadura, Godello, Lado) that represent a less internationally familiar but deeply characterful expression of the region. For buyers interested in depth of place, these are wines worth knowing.

The Region

Galicia: Spain's
Atlantic northwest.

Galicia is unlike any other wine region in Spain. Ocean air, granite soils, and a green, rain-fed landscape produce wines of high natural acidity, mineral clarity, and aromatic precision. The principal variety, Albariño, is one of Europe's most characterful white grapes. Its peers (Godello, Treixadura, Mencía) are equally serious and far less widely distributed.

The region's major appellations (Rías Baixas, Ribeiro, Ribeira Sacra, Valdeorras) each offer distinct conditions and styles. Our portfolio is not an attempt to cover them all. It is an attempt to represent the ones we understand best, with producers we know personally and trust completely.
